CoolRPG: Volume I adapts rules, monsters, setting, maps and adventures from the free Basic Fantasy Role-Playing Game books, which are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0. As that licence asks, our adaptation is shared under the same licence, here, free and without DRM.

CoolRPG-Volume-I-open-content-1.1.0.zip – the game’s data files (RPG Maker MZ JSON): rules, classes, spells, monsters and items as they appear in the game, and the maps with their characters, dialogue and quests. Text and numbers only – no images, audio or program code.

  • Not covered: the game’s program code, plugins, artwork, music, sound effects, video, fonts and the CoolRPG name – these are separate works under their own terms (see the in-game Credits).
