CoolRPG: Volume I is looking for playtesters
CoolRPG: Volume I is a classic turn-based fantasy RPG built on the Basic Fantasy Role-Playing Game rules. It adapts BF1 Morgansfort: The Western Lands Campaign – the frontier town of Morgansfort, the wilderness around it and the dungeons beneath it – into a full computer RPG for phones, tablets, Google TV and Windows PCs.
What’s in it
- Make a hero from the classic classes and races, then recruit companions at the inn.
- Combat by the book: to-hit rolls and saving throws, spells by level, Turn Undead, XP for treasure, encumbrance.
- Towns and cities, the wilderness, and dungeons full of traps and secret doors – on foot, by ship, and later by airship.
- Shops that restock, a bank, and smiths who enhance your gear up to +3 and set (or now remove) gems.
- A quest log, achievements, and cloud saves through Google Play Games.
- Play with touch, a controller or a TV remote.
New in versions 1.0.96 and 1.0.97
- Smiths can remove a gem from your gear – your party’s Intelligence and Wisdom improve the odds.
- Random encounters fit the terrain: no more sharks on the road. At sea, sea creatures come for your ship.
- Whetstones are used up when you sharpen your weapons.
- Options -> Report a Bug opens our new report form with your version and device filled in.
- Options -> Cloud Save Check shows why cloud saves aren’t working on a device.
Play it in your browser
Members of coolrpg.us can now try the free edition right in the browser on the Play in Your Browser page – heroes go up to level 2 and each play session lasts 15 minutes (the game saves before it stops). Registration is free.
